Grants for Schools - The Mercy Foundation has made available
the sum of $15,000.00 for its 2003 round of the grants.
Future
Leaders Environment Awards - Open to year 12 students throughout
Australia who have demonstrated exemplar environmental leadership. The
2003 winners will receive a fully-funded Fellowship to take part in an
Earthwatch Expedition to Australia or New Zealand.
Comalco
Green and Healthy Schools. A health and environment program
for students which encourages schools to manage issues such as energy
usage, waste minimization and nutrition.
Ergon Energy Renewable
Energy Competition. Schools enter a renewable energy project
or idea to win computers.
Earthwatch Institute Student
Challenge Program. Teams of eight students take part in a
six day scientific field research project.
Sustainable
Living Project. - A national competition with over $40,000
in prizes to be won each year. Open to high school students. Focus is
on solving environmental problems
Banksia
Environmental Awards - Regarded as the most prestigious in
Australia, these annual awards recognise and reward community groups,
individuals, businesses and government departments for environment excellance

Young Environmentalist Awards - $10,000 US first place is
on offer in this international competition. The prize also includes a
trip to Sweden for the awards ceremony. Extra prizes are available for
Australian schools submitting projects. |
