VET Staff Development opportunities are funded through A.N.T.A.'s 'Reframing the Future' national program which assists Australian industry to thrive in a global and competitive economy.

Workplace English Language & Literacy (W.E.L.L.) Programme provided funding for organisations that want to introduce English language & literacy training to the workplace, intrgrated with workplace based or vocational education & training.

Adult Literacy National Project. Fundraising was made available for projects demonstrating innovation in the field of adult literacy and numeracy.

Flexible Learning Innovations provided funding to vocational education and training practitioners and registered training organisations, to assist in developing e-learning focussed ideas.

CentreLink provides assistance to indigenous students.

Communities Literacy Program. The purpose of the program is to develop literacy and numeracy skills for any disadvantaged people in the community. Funding up tp A$5,000 is available for any one course.

Community Jobs Plan provides funds to organisations in order to give unemployed Queenslanders with paid work and job experience on Community based projects for three to six months.

Youth for the Environment was targeted at creating additional "Green Jobs" for young people aged between 15 and 24 in the key growth area of the environment and it's protection. Funding up to A$16,000 was available for each trainee.
