well researched and logically constructed proposal to a grant making
body could assist your group in reaching its fundraising goals.
Grants are taken to mean funding opportunities and other sources of
prospective support where a financial encouragement or other
incentive is offered. These may include philanthropic foundations,
sponsorships, scholarships, awards and competitions.
The Grants listed below are illustrative of the kinds of
grants your group may be eligible to apply for.
Telstra Foundation. The Telstra’s Kids Fund benefits
organisations and activities involving the children of permanent
Telstra staff and staff of Telstra’s wholly owned subsidiaries.
Microsoft Community Assistance Initiative. Software and
technical support is provided to registered non-profit community
organizations throughout Australia that provide human services for
disadvantaged groups or individuals.
Community Garden Grants. National grants valued in total $55,000
are available to community-based gardening projects as a means of
encouraging gardening and improving the environment.
Tamaro Foundation. The Foundation promotes humanitarian and
educational projects. It was established in October 2000 by Italian
author Susanna Tamaro, and is a sub-foundation of the Zurich-based
institution Limmat Stiftung. The Foundation supports projects for
children youth, elderly and women. It has no geographical
restrictions.
The Australian
Children’s Television Foundation through the Independent
Development Program & Production Investment Program, provides funds
for producers, script writer & editors and consultants, for budget
production.
"Foot in the
Door" The Dance Board offered grants of up to $20,000 to assist
young & emerging dance and movement artists’ to gain professional
experience through a working relationship with a company or group of
their choice.
